Who we are

Visitor statistics without cookies

We count how often our pages are viewed, per day and per page, which website (domain name) visitors come from and how often buttons such as ‘Book’, ‘Call’ and ‘Directions’ are tapped. We do not use cookies for this and do not store IP addresses, browser details or any other data that could identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used.

Cookies and consent

Without your consent we only set one necessary cookie, which stores the choice you made in the cookie banner. Third-party statistics and marketing services (such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or the Meta pixel) are only loaded if we switch them on and you give your consent; none of these services is switched on at the moment. Embedded third-party content, such as the Google Maps map, YouTube or Vimeo videos and the RestoManager booking and newsletter forms, only loads after you consent to ‘External media’. Our Facebook posts are fetched by our own server and shown as our own cards, so your browser makes no connection to Meta for them. The fonts on this website are loaded from our own server. You will find more details in our cookie policy.

Reservations, gift vouchers and newsletter

Online reservations, gift voucher orders and newsletter sign-ups are handled by RestoManager (book.restomanager.net), which processes that data on our behalf. We use the details you enter there (name, contact details, date, number of guests and any remarks) to handle your reservation, order or subscription and to contact you about it. Legal basis: the performance of your reservation or order; for the newsletter, your subscription, which you can cancel with the link at the bottom of every newsletter. For a gift voucher the payment also goes through RestoManager.

Contact by e-mail or phone

If you email or call us, we only use your details to answer your question and follow it up. If you call our second number (+32 460 25 50 57), our AI phone assistant Renske answers: she handles practical questions and notes your reservation or request so that we can follow it up. The conversation is processed automatically for that purpose (speech to text); we use that data for nothing else.

Job applications

Applications go through our application form at app.hoeveduras.be. The details you enter there are used only for the selection for the position you apply for. After the selection we keep your application for at most one year, so that we can contact you when a suitable position opens up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Where is your data?

The website runs on Vercel, with processing in the European Union (Dublin), and keeps its data at Supabase (database and photos, in Ireland). Our e-mail is hosted at one.com. Data processing agreements are in place with these providers; where a provider is established outside the European Economic Area, the European standard contractual clauses apply. We never sell your data and do not share it with anyone other than the providers named here, unless the law requires us to.

How long do we keep your data?

No longer than needed for the purpose we received it for: reservation details until your visit has been handled, questions until they have been answered and followed up, applications as described above. Data that belongs to our bookkeeping, such as the purchase of a gift voucher, is kept for as long as the law requires (seven to ten years).

Security

The website uses a secure connection (https). The website’s management area is only accessible to our staff, with personal accounts and two-step verification.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it and request data portability. You can withdraw any consent at any time, for cookies via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page. Send your request to info@hoeveduras.be; we reply within a month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.

We update this text when something changes on the website or at our providers. The date below shows when that last happened.
